Weaving Waste into Wonder
Kinusaiga workshop
Create your own fabric collage
Saturday 15th November
1-2.30pm
Suitable for adults only due to the use of craft knives and sharp tools
Free for residents of Greater Manchester - To ensure that the maximum amount of community members can take part in this class, please only book a place if you are certain that you can attend. Please select the exact number of places required upon booking.
To attend this workshop, you must contribute unwanted textiles that you can use to make your artwork. This could be a worn out t-shirt, a clean t-towel, old curtains, fabric off cuts from a past crafting project etc.
We are thrilled to have been awarded a grant from the Renew Community Fund to enable us to deliver a range of exciting textile recycling workshops as part of our Weaving Waste into Wonder programme. This month you will have the opportunity to make an eye-catching fabric collage, with no sewing involved! Kinusaiga is a Japanese art form that creates intricate images by fitting pieces of fabric into a Styrofoam block, resembling a patchwork painting without the use of needles or thread.
Once you have booked on to the workshop, you will be added to the register and contacted nearer to the start time of the class. The message will come from info@humbugart.com and may end up in your spam folder.
Places are limited, if the website says 'Out of Stock' we are fully booked. Please only attend if you have signed up via the website - there may not be spaces available if you turn up unannounced!
