Weaving Waste into Wonder
Fabric Pumpkins
Sunday 6th September
1 - 2.30pm
FREE!
Adults and teenagers welcome - hand sewing with needles and use of a glue gun.
Please select the exact number of places required upon booking and do not bring more participants than the quantity that you have booked.
Free for residents of Greater Manchester - To ensure that the maximum amount of community members can take part in this class, please only book a place if you are certain that you can attend.
To attend this workshop, you must contribute unwanted textiles that you can use to make your artwork. This could be a worn out t-shirt, a clean t-towel, old curtains, fabric off cuts from a past crafting project etc.
We are thrilled to have been awarded a grant from the Renew Community Fund to enable us to deliver a range of exciting textile recycling workshops as part of our Weaving Waste into Wonder programme. Join us in the studio and use scrap textiles and waste jewellery to make a seasonal 3D soft sculpture of a pumpkin. You will develop your hand sewing skills and use pretty patterned fabrics to make a piece of home decor.
Once you have booked on to the workshop, you will be added to the register and contacted nearer to the start time of the class. The message will come from info@humbugart.com and may end up in your spam folder.
Places are limited, if the website says 'Out of Stock' we are fully booked. Please only attend if you have signed up via the website - there may not be spaces available if you turn up unannounced!
